The 6th Laboratory Approaches to Romance Phonology conference was the result of the collaboration between Indiana University and El Colegio de México and was held in El Colegio de México in October 3rd-5th 2012, in what was the first time the conference was held in Latin America. This introduction offers an overview of the topics covered in the volume, followed by the acknowledgements to those who made both the conference and this volume possible.
